Glad to hear that you are making progress with learning Chinese, as I understand it's not a easy catch. While learning speaking Chinese is hard, as we have totally different pronounciation rules compared with English, reading and writing Chinese are even harder. We learned Chinese in a natual way when we grew up, and my experience might help you a little bit although I understand it's totally different whether you are in the right environment or not.
